“A parish is a definite community of the Christian faithful…
It is the place where all the faithful can be gathered together for
Sunday celebration of the Eucharist… The parish initiates the
Christian people into liturgical life, it gathers them together in
celebration, it teaches Christ’s saving doctrine, it practices the
charity of the Lord…” (Code of Canon Law)
“You cannot pray at home as at church, where there is a great
multitude, where exclamations are cried out to God as from one
great heart, and where there is more: the union of minds, the
accord of souls, the bond of charity…” (St. John Chrysostom)
Welcome to the OLPH parish family! Thank you so much for seeking to become part of our Christian community. It is our sincere hope that you find a warm spiritual home among us.
As you fill out your registration form, I ask that you consider taking an active role in our parish. The high hopes expressed for a parish in the above quotations can only be fully realized when many people seek to love and follow the Lord together. All the ministries and activities of our parish are the fruit of our parishioners working together to practice and spread their faith in Jesus; all of these ministries and activities could be even better with your involvement.
Please know that the priests, deacons, parish staff, and all our ministries are here for you. If there is any way that we can be of particular assistance to you or your family, please do not hesitate to be in touch.
To register, please scroll down to our Parish Registration Form (print, complete and return to the office at: OLPH, Attn: Registration, 111 Claremont Road, Bernardsville, NJ 07924).
